niche extensions like .casino are kinda a trap for seo. sure the CTR from search results might be slightly better because it is super relevant, but you pay for it when building links. if you do outreach, every webmaster sees .casino and instantly jacks up their guest post prices because they know you are in a high paying niche. a boring .com or a local ccTLD lets you fly under the radar a bit more when buying links... also easier to pivot later if you need to.

I stopped doing casino heavy themes on my casino affiliate sites.

The hosting will complain if it doesn't accept gambling.
The webmaster will jack up the prices for backlinks.
Automated systems for filtering out spam domains will mark you.
Ad automation systems will filter you out as well (Meta Ads, Reddit ads etc)
