Personally, I think traffic is no longer the only KPI. Visibility, brand mentions, and conversions are becoming just as important. What's your take?

I am measuring by the number of sales. I am tracking all my affiliate link clicks. Where they are coming from which site, which parasite, what type of campaign, what type of link. I want to know everything I can. And you can do that with tracking clicks.
We are far away from total zero click searches. Some keywords produce zero clicks but I don't care.

I still keep an eye on traffic, but it is not the first thing I look at anymore. If visitors are not sticking around or taking action, the numbers dont mean much.

For me, it's about momentum. Are more pages getting indexed? Are impressions growing? Are pages ranking for more keywords over time? Those metrics tell me I'm heading in the right direction, even before the traffic catches up.

if i'm making money, it's working
if i'm asking my mom to buy me a candy, it's not working

I think traffic is still important but it is definitely not the only thing to watch. If people stay on site and actually take action thats a much better sign to me,

I agree. Traffic is important, but if it doesn't lead to conversions or help build trust, the numbers don't mean much..

For me conversions to real money is the statistic that matters the most.

Agreed. Traffic gets attention, but trust drives results. If people remember your brand and convert, you're already winning.

Still promoting CB products? :P

I agree traffic is still important but its not everything anymore if people are talking about your brand and its leading to real customers then thats what really matters.

I agree that traffic alone does not tell the full story anymore. I have started paying more attention to impressions, branded searches and actual conversions instead of just visits. Even if clicks are lower then visibility and recurring users often show the real impact of SEO now.

Totally agree. Traffic still matters, but visibility, brand mentions, and conversions give a much clearer picture of real business growth. It's about impact, not just clicks.

Oh, I see. Thanks.

I am still learning seo but i think rankings alone are not enough now if people see your brand visit your website and take action that feels like a better sign of success than just getting more clicks

You are completely spot on, raw traffic doesn't tell the whole story anymore since Google's AI snippets handle so many quick queries right on the SERPs. The focus has definitely shifted toward measuring real conversions, email signups, and tracking direct searches for your brand name. If your general blog traffic takes a hit but your actual leads and revenue stay steady, your SEO strategy is still working perfectly.
