Lovely BHW users running meta ads, posting this to provide some quick tips too profits for meta in 2026.
Going to keep this on point and to the point without much fluff.
1: AVOID ANY META RECOMMENDATIONS.
While I love BH and cloaking this counts for just about anything, turn all these AI, enhancements OFF not even kidding. Music on your ads sound great until you get Christmas audio or pure rock music on your baby products, meta is simply introducing shit that is not even 1% fine tuned and will cause just issues to your bottom line.
Not a single option is useful at the time of writing this post.
2: USE VALUE RULES TO TURN OF PLACEMENTS VERSUS DOING IT ON ADSETS
Value rules are becoming a huge factor in meta ads and it's rather simple, (Tested this) and going broad results in cheaper CPCs etc but at some point as meta always does they just want to EAT your money and its going to show your ads on crap like candy crush in their audience network but instead of turning it off on the ad set use a value rule.
Here is a sample what I do.
Step 1: Go to the left side of your account and tap on "Advertising Settings"
From there you will want to simply locate the value rules section, screenshot below.
In the screenshot above you can see a rule I already set on this account, a lot of people mix up increasing their budgets on placements or gender or age to bid more but this is just a pure waste of money so instead of doing that you just simply want to set a rule to decrease your bid by 70 to 90% on certain placements that don't work for you.
Simply put value rules is the future of meta ads.
I ALWAYS decrease 90% on audience network as it's the lowest quality traffic you will ever see in your life and it's very simple to setup
In the screenshot above I also added AGES just to showcase you can do a lot more with value rules BUT do this AFTER you already collected enough data to make these decisions, you can also exclude other placements such as Instagram reels, feeds and so on.
When you do this on adset level you are going to just end up paying more, while with value rules you are still able to go fully broad but just with some rules to your campaign.
3: ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK BUT TURN THIS OFF TOO
Meta is very well known for turning all your shit back on, a simple way to avoid that (Still ALWAYS CHECK) is turning this off, also under "Advertising settings"
I Repeat, do not let Meta test their absolute trash AI on you, it's a losing game and you should always control your own settings.
3: ALWAYS START WITH AD SET BUDGETS WHEN TESTING
When testing new creatives avoid adding crazy amounts to one adset and do NOT run on campaign level budgets, instead spread your ads through multiple ad-sets BUT when scaling and when finding winners always go with campaign budgets and avoid multiple ad-sets.
I got so much more of full setups like this, just comment what you want to know and il be back to reply.
