Is Reddit the Last Place Where People Still Give Honest Opinions Online?

With so much sponsored content and AI generated information everywhere then I feel like genuine discussions are becoming harder to find.

Reddit still has communities where people share real experiences both positive and negative.

Do you think Reddit is becoming more valuable because people trust conversations more than polished marketing content?

I dont think Reddit is the last place, but its definitely one of the few platforms where you can still find honest opinions You still have to filter out AI posts and promotional content but real users sharing actual experiences are what keep people coming back

NOOOOO, there is no genuine or legit opinion on Reddit, it's just a place to dump spam, promote your own brands, make money with our affiliate/referral links.

OP will probably upgrade his account soon to offer comments for $25 like those reddit farms here, obviously there is no genuine discussion, it's just a place to self promote and earn money with commissions/getting clients.

There are some useful things here and there on Reddit, but I mostly use it to just keep up with news in specific areas that are of interest to me. The platform itself was already in many ways tiresome a few years back, but now there is just so much fake advertisement, posts that pretend to be one thing rather than another, bots karma farming etc. At least there was something slightly more novel to it when it was humans trying to do it. I don't know.. I'm hoping for new ways to interact online to emerge that will be less botted or at least more transparent around it. Difficult problem to solve.

I agree to some extent. There is still promotional content on Reddit, but genuine discussions are easier to find than on many other platforms. Reading different threads usually gives a more balanced view.
