Who do you prefer Do-Follow or No-Follow backlinks ?

If I had to choose, I'd go with high-authority no-follow backlinks because they can still drive real traffic, build trust and make your backlink profile look natural. Ideally, a healthy mix of both is the best approach for long-term SEO.

Do-follow links pass the signal for authority and trust. But if you are getting a nofollow link from a high authority site you should get it.

And if you are paying for the links then, It is logical to focus on do-follow links only.

Also, High authority such as DA ratings does not really matter, if your links are placed on less relevant sites. Your site can get good boost in ranking from DA 10-20 sites backlinks, if they are real niche relevant sites.

I would go with no-follow backlinks from high-authority websites. Even though they don't directly pass SEO link juice, they still add credibility, trust signals and can bring valuable referral traffic. In comparison, do-follow links from low-authority sites usually have limited SEO impact, so high-authority exposure is generally more beneficial overall.

If I had to choose, I’d prefer no follow backlinks from high-authority websites. While they may not pass direct SEO value like do follow links, they can bring relevant traffic, increase brand credibility, and create opportunities for future do follow links. Overall, links from trusted, authoritative sites tend to provide greater long term value.

i think its better to have a mix of both. If i had to choose , i had to lean toward high -authority sites, even if the link is no no follow , because they can still bring trust ,visibility and refferal traffic .at the same time , relevant do follow links from quality sites are still important for long term SEO.

I would probably take the no follow link from a high authority site.Even if it does not pass much seo value directly, it can still bring real traffic and make the site look more credible. Ideally though, having a mix of both is probably the better approach.

I'd choose a high-authority nofollow link over a low-quality ******** link any day. A natural mix of both is the safest and most sustainable approach.

If I had to pick I’d go for no follow links from high authority sites.
They still bring trust brand signals and sometimes traffic which matters more than a weak do follow link from a low quality site.
Best case is always a mix but authority and relevance usually beat raw do follow alone.

I do not really treat it as either/or anymore. From what i have seen that relevance matters more than the tag itself. A no follow link from a high authority, highly relevant site can still bring good traffic and visibility while a do follow from a weak or unrelated site usually does not add much value long term.

Relevance first, then traffic and site quality, then follow attribute. A nofollow link from a real niche site can be worth more than a ******** link from some dead unrelated domain.
