I have heard different opinions about whether having more linkedln connections actually helps increase profile visibility. some people say a larger network gives your posts and profile more exposure , while others believe content quality and engagement matter mcuh more.

I love to hear what has worked for you and whether you have noticed a real difference as your network grew.

Yes, I noticed a bigger network can help increase early visibility. But content quality and real engagement matter much more. Useful posts and meaningful comments usually bring better long-term results than connection numbers alone.

LinkedIn connection definitely helps increase profile visibility and qualityful content increase engagement. Both are equally important
 
Growing my network helped but only when the connections were relevant. I noticed a bigger improvement after connecting with people in the same industry because they were more likely to engage with my posts. A smaller and active network has been more useful than adding random connections.
 
Growing connections helps with distribution in the beginning, but long-term visibility really depends on how people engage with your content.

I have been through this. The more my network grew, the more profile views I gott , but only when I started posting quality content did I get meaningful comments and inbound messages.

Honestly, it’s a mix of both, but they trigger different parts of the algorithm.
Having more connections (especially 500+) expands your 2nd and 3rd-degree network, which acts like a multiplier. When you post something, your 1st-degree connections need to engage with it first to push it to the next tier. So if you have 5,000 connections who don't care about your content, your reach will still be dead.
For me, the real sweet spot was crossing the 1k mark with relevant people in my industry. Quality content triggers the initial engagement, but a larger relevant network gives that engagement legs to run further.
 
Having more connections will certainly increase the visibility of your LinkedIn profile. However, in my opinion, the best way to maximize your reach is to actively engage with the community through meaningful interactions.

I do not think connections alone increase visibility much anymore. LinkedIn seems to push posts based on how people interact with them.

Bigger network helps, but it won't do much without good content. Qualoty connections and engagement amtter a lot more, Imo.
