Telegram Ads Testing Strategy, What Works Best?

I am trying to understand how Telegram Ads Testing should be done before scaling any campaign.

From what I have learned through my experiences, Telegram has a lot of different options including channel ads, sponsored posts and direct placements. But i am still confused about the right way to test such ads without wasting my budget.

I do not focus on testing a fixed number of channels or a fixed budget. I start small, test different audiences and channels, then scale only the ones that consistently bring good results. The key is to test one variable at a time, otherwise it is hard to know what actually worked.

I usually start with small budget tests on 5–10 relevant channels, compare CTR and conversions, then scale only the ones that show consistent results instead of spreading budget too thin.

With Telegram Ads you're really only testing three things, and in this order of leverage: the target, the creative, and the destination. Most wasted budget comes from changing more than one at once, so you never learn which lever moved the result.

Process: lock one strong destination first, a channel or bot that's already warm and converts, then run a few short creative variants against a few target sets. Change one variable per test. And judge on cost per join or per start, not on clicks; a high click rate with few joins just means the hook was catchy and the traffic was low intent. Put a start parameter deep link on each ad and you'll see exactly which target and creative actually converted, not just who tapped.

How many to test: think in target sets, not single channels. Start with maybe three to five, each with enough budget to reach a decision, then kill the losers fast and pour the rest into the one or two winners. Spreading a tiny budget across twenty targets gives you noise, not signal.

Budget: size it to a decision, not a round number. Give each variant enough to reach the clicks you need to trust the number, roughly fifty to a hundred clicks per variant depending on how tight you want it, then move everything to whatever hits your cost per action. Judging a variant on ten clicks is how the budget quietly disappears.

you should start small and treat the first few campaigns as data gathering rather than trying to get instant results. Test multiple relevant channels with a modest budget, then scale only the ones that consistently bring quality traffic or conversions. Being patient during the testing phase usually saves more money than increasing the budget too early.

I never test everything at once. I keep the offer the same and only change one thing at a time, like the channel or the ad copy, so it's easier to see what actually made the difference.

I test multiple channels. I stop testing once I find a few channels that consistently bring the right audience.

I only spend what I am comfortable using for learning.

I create multiple add , same add but with different CPM , to find the wining CPM

Its really difficult to find the perfect channel to target.

Testing budget = the amount I won't mind to lose.

Keep it simple to start.
