Hi guys,
I started a Facebook Ads campaign for a client recently. The campaign launches normally and goes into review, but after a few minutes it automatically gets paused due to a “technical issue.”
The strange part is that there is no clear explanation inside the dashboard about what exactly is causing the problem. I tried restarting and editing the campaign multiple times, but the same thing keeps happening. My client has already paid for the advertising service, so this situation is becoming difficult to handle.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Facebook Ads recently?
Any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

i believe its a glitches in the system. check if the account has any policy restrictions or payment verification pending. Also, try duplicating the campaign and launching it with minimal settings—sometimes that helps identify if a specific ad or setting is triggering the pause.

Maybe the problem is with your billing information or Facebook page. If you are using third-party tools, Facebook might have disabled them. Try contacting Meta Support, they should be able to fix it.

Yes, this sometimes happens with ads in Facebook Ads Manager by Meta Platforms. It can be caused by a billing problem, payment verification, account restrictions, or a small system glitch. Try checking your payment method and account quality section. You can also duplicate the campaign and launch it again. If the issue continues, it’s best to contact Meta Platforms support for help.

I've also encountered cases where Facebook ads were paused due to a "technical issue." This is usually due to a system error, payment method issues, or the account being under review. Try checking your payment method, creating a duplicate campaign, or waiting a while before running it again; sometimes it's just a temporary system error.

Yeah this actually happens more often than people think, and usually it’s not a real “technical bug” but an **automatic system check** being triggered in the background. Meta can automatically pause campaigns when something in billing, policy review, or account risk signals changes even after the ad was approved.

The most common causes are payment or billing verification issues, account spending limits, automated rules, or a second AI review that flags something later during delivery, not during the first approval. Meta’s own troubleshooting docs and ad delivery guides mention that ads can pause automatically due to payment failures, budget limits, policy re-checks, or automation rules firing without clear dashboard explanations.

Based on real advertiser cases, here’s what I’d check first (in order):

1. Billing → Payment settings (card verification or failed charge is #1 cause)
2. Account Quality section for hidden review flags
3. Automated Rules tab (sometimes a rule pauses ads silently)
4. Campaign spending limit or lifetime budget reached
5. Landing page issues or restricted niche triggering re-review

If it pauses again within minutes after review, it’s usually **account-level trust or billing verification**, not the campaign itself. I’d duplicate the campaign after fixing billing/account quality instead of endlessly editing the same one, because Meta sometimes keeps the original flagged internally.

Yeah bro, this happens sometimes, FB is buggy. Try using a new ad account or contact support, sometimes clearing cache helps too.

Ad pauses are usually not a technical error, but rather an automatic system action from Meta (related to payment issues, spending limits, automated rules, or policy re-checks).

You should check in this order:
  1. Payment (card/transaction issues)
  2. Account Quality
  3. Automated rules
  4. Budget limits
  5. Landing page or restricted content
If an ad is paused shortly after being approved, it’s usually an account or payment issue, not the campaign itself—so it’s better to fix the root cause first and then duplicate a new campaign instead of editing the old one

Many correct answers have been posted above, but the most important thing is that if this happens, you should create a new campaign and also try creating a campaign with the same creative, but insert any generic domain into the link—for example, adidas.com or puma.com. If the ad runs, the problem is most likely with the link you’re directing the ad to, and you’ll have to set up cloaking for it

I've seen this happen a few times due to billing issues or account review checks It might be worth checking the account notifications and payment settings to see if Facebook has flagged anything

Yeah i saw this once too, usually its some account or billing glitch, try new ad account or recheck payment setup it fixed for me.

Probably a glitch. It's still happening though.

I’ve seen this before, mostly it’s a technical/account restriction issue, not the campaign itself.
