How to learn to write long form thread hooks?

I learned by reading successful threads every day and noticing how the first few lines create curiosity. Then I practiced writing different hooks and tested what made more people stop and keep reading.
 
Read threads that get a lot of views and pay attention to the first line. Try writing similar hooks in your own words and practice every day. The more you do it, the easier it gets.

Honestly, I'd just read a lot of good threads.

The more you pay attention to the first few lines, the easier it gets to understand what grabs your attention and what makes you scroll past. :suspicious:
 
According to me, you should start by studying creators in your niche whose threads consistently get good engagement. You should also pay attention to how they open with curiosity, a bold statement, or a relatable problem. Then keep practicing and testing different hooks to see what works best for your audience.
 
Start with the payoff, not the topic. If the first line does not tell me why the next 30 seconds matter, I move on. Good hooks are usually just clean promises with a bit of tension in them.
 
I think the best way is to study successful threads and practice regularly Over time you start to understand what grabs attention and keeps people reading
 
create a hook in the short at first (trigger or maybe even ragebait them), then the long form in the comment (cause threads limit letters of coursr) that way is effective through tones of creator i've seen
