How can I improve my rankings on Yahoo?

@StarDrift first thing I’d do is split the drop by country and landing page, because “Yahoo drop” can be two different things. If it’s US/CA then yeah, treat it like Bing and check Bing Webmaster Tools, IndexNow, crawl/index stats, schema, and whether your top pages got stale compared to newer competitors. If it’s Yahoo Japan or some weird browser/homepage traffic, that’s a different animal and you can waste days chasing the wrong algo.

Yahoo/Bing still seems more forgiving with exact-match titles, older authority links, and clean internal anchors than Google, but don’t blast anchors sitewide. Pick 5-10 pages that lost most traffic, refresh the content dates/sections, tighten title + H1 around the query, submit through IndexNow, then watch impressions before touching backlinks.

I’ve noticed a huge traffic drop from Yahoo after an algorithm change. What specific SEO practices are working to rank better on Yahoo in 2025?
Technical SEO is more important now. Fixing indexing issues, improving mobile speed, and cleaning up site structure can make a noticeable difference in visibility.

One thing I’d add is don’t just look at rankings, check what type of Yahoo traffic dropped. Sometimes it’s not classic search, it’s browser/startpage/syndicated stuff and the pages that vanish are different than Bing organic.

For actual Yahoo/Bing SERPs, I’ve seen boring stuff work better than fancy SEO lately... exact intent title tags, old pages refreshed properly, tighter internal links from pages already indexed, and getting the URL re-crawled fast. Bing Webmaster Tools + IndexNow is basic but a lot of sites still don’t have it setup right.

Also schema seems to help more there than people give credit for, especially FAQ/product/local type pages. Not magic, but if competitors are sloppy it can push CTR a bit.

Yahoo mostly follows Bing, so I'd focus on Bing SEO. Good content, strong backlinks and fixing tech SEO helped me more than trying to optimize for Yahoo only.
Yeah, If you rank on Bing, Yahoo traffic follows.

focus on quality content, fast website speed, mobile-friendly design, and building good backlinks is enough. and Yahoo now focus mostly on Bing SEO so u should pay attention to it bro
