I've been studying photography for a while now, and out of interest, I've also experimented with AI-generated images. Due to the rapid development of AI, the boundaries of 'photography' are becoming increasingly blurred. Out of curiosity, I checked the market price of AI-generated photos on several platforms. I stumbled upon the category of "AI-generated wedding photos," and wow, the prices weren't cheap, though still lower than traditional photography.

I understand that AI is novel and interesting, but a wedding is a significant event, and AI is merely an auxiliary tool; it cannot create truly beautiful and authentic memories for the wedding. I don't mean to judge; I'm just curious about the reasons for choosing AI-generated wedding photos.

I think most people choose it for fantasy-style portraits, lower cost, or because they never had proper wedding photos before.

I’ve noticed a lot of couples using AI pics as a kind of add-on instead of a stand-in. It scratches the itch for the cool fantasy vibe without putting the real memories at risk. For the big moments, I still feel better having a human who can read the room and catch the weird little stuff that makes a wedding feel alive. AI feels more like bonus art than the main dish.

I actually tried out some AI wedding pics for my cousin’s album last year just to see what the fuss was about, but the vibe felt a bit too perfect, almost like plastic food models. The couple ended up using them for their invites, though, since customization is a breeze and the cost is peanuts. If you want to spice things up or fill gaps in an album, it’s handy.

the pople would stil prefer photo from their real wedding cermony. In this case the ai would be used after the ceremny to create an artistic imag of the moment from the ceremony.

However it seem that ai is yet to take place of weding photographer as it affect weding ceremony later on by affecting only particular element of the ceremony. real wedding photograph only can capture the esence of the ceremony.

But yeah, for actual memories, most people still prefer real photography. AI versions are more like a visual add-on than a replacement.
