I want to grow instagram profile with just carousels...

what do i need to do?

posting valuable content, i know...

what bout, do i need to engage a lot? do i need to follow unfollow? or do i just rely on content?

Really can't go wrong with quality content in general but it's best to work out a strat around it too. Just do organic engagements, where necessary. Reply and interact with people on the same niche, it's a good way about it. Gotta build that rapport and build some good standing and relationships.
As for follow-unfollow, haven't heard much about it these days so can't say about it's efficacy in big 2026. Might be worth looking into before you decide going all in on it.

At a glance, the account you linked succeeds because it has a clear niche, consistent formatting, and fairly has easily shareable content. Might be good to take cues from it than focus on supposed growth hacks.
 
Content is king. When I create content I frame it as operation stop the scroll. Create content that you believe will make visitors stop scrolling to check your content. Learn what a hook is and go from there.
