i bought an expired domain from a high risk area. expired domain had a bit too much backlinks. i deployed there a fully legit BIG site with proper linking, many keywords and blogs. i see google actively crawling my website(from google console). it's been a few weeks and stats isn't nice.
currently in google console saved only 3 keywords. what should i expect?

What do you mean by saved?

Did you recreated the old website or created your own new website?

Are you targeting the same niche? same keywords?
If not, it's not feasible for you to expect big boom in organic traffic through keywords.

i meant 'organic keywords'
yes, same niche, but previous owners were a bit spammy. linking&keywords is different from expired.
what can i expect in 2 months?

a few weeks really isn't much time. if google is crawling the site i'd probably keep watching before jumping to conclusions

Do this.
Install analytics. Wait for one or two days , check the urls that are getting clicks in google analytics.

Recreate those urls with same title and target those same keywords. You can take help of wayback machine to check what content previous owner was showing.

Good luck.

nice idea, thanks

It's too early to make a decision but expired domains are not magic

far from that..

Google takes time to deliver results or sometimes keeps sites on hold for months during the sandbox period. So, it's wise to study data and update content, site structure, internal links, etc. to push the rankings. Moreover, your primary objective should be to get as many impressions as you can but not clicks. As your site gets more impressions, you can be confident that your pages are moving up and getting the much needed visibility. The brand name and authority will do the heavy-lifting for you.

a few weeks is still very early especially if the expired domain had a complicated backlink history I'd give it more time while monitoring indexing and keyword growth before making major changes

The backlink history of the expired domain could be slowing things down particularly if it changed niches I'd focus on quality content and monitor indexing rather than the click count for now
