Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that many creators continue to use end screens to direct viewers to additional videos and playlists.
Do you think end screens still play an important role in increasing watch time and keeping viewers on a channel, or have their benefits decreased over time?
Would love to hear your experience.

The end screen remains an extremely important and effective tool for retaining viewers. Even though platform (like YouTube's) automated distribution algorithms have evolved significantly, the end screen still offers practical benefits for creators.

it is good for creators to promote there relevant content it gain more view and engagement

end screens are an additional benefit to directing traffic to your videos, however the main factor is suggestions, browse features and etc.

In my opinion, end screens still help keep viewers engaged for longer, as many people are naturally curious about what happens next and are likely to continue watching another video.

honestly they only work well if you actually bridge to them in the script. if you just let the template pop up over some generic outro music, most people click away. i started keeping the end screen down to like 5-7 seconds and verbally pointing to the next video... saw a decent jump in CTR. random recommendations there are kinda useless now.

The ending plays a crucial role in attracting more followers and visitors. I think you should have an ending, along with engaging content to keep viewers hooked; that's the springboard to make your ending even more valuable.

end screen play important role in increasing watch time , you should make your end scree viewers attacive.

I still think end screens are very important, and I make sure to include one at the end of every video.

They haven't lost their value. Pairing end screens with a good verbal call to action usually improves session watch time.

yeah, i don’t think it’ll hurt much, probably better to do it. but it also depends on how long that end screen is gonna be

In my view, the end screen on YouTube Studio still serves as a useful touchpoint for retaining viewers, but its direct benefits have diminished somewhat due to increasingly intelligent audience behavior and recommendation algorithms.
