On Friday June 26, 2026 I got a wild idea out of nowhere at 4am to take a long ride through the Monongahela National forest in West Virginia, USA after I was alerted to BTBs passing. I live nearby in Virginia. About 2.5 hours through the forest to Seneca Rocks (pictured).
Monongahela translates from Cherokee to English loosely means “falling banks.” The forest has always been a place of rest and is now a national forest in the United States. Still untouched from time, for the most part.
It was a glorious day. Low humidity, low temperatures, sunny, and we went FAST too.
I know BTB would have loved it. I shared tons of pictures with him like this.
Rest in peace, BTB. Thank you for everything you've done for the BHW community. Your kindness, knowledge, and dedication will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to your family, friends, and the entire BHW team.
