New blog posts not getting indexed quickly

Make Sure your sitemap is updated and submitted properly. that helps google find new pages faster.

its is quite common these days, as google indexing can be slower than before. make sure your sitemap is updated , submit URLs through google search console and check that there are no crawling or indexing issues on your site

I think internal links, sitemap and overall site quality have a big impact on indexing so first make sue all these things should be best.

Just interlink new posts with old and also share on social accounts and you will see the difference.

Yes, it is a pretty common problem in 2026, Google indexing is now often slower, especially for fresh sites or low authority ones. Make sure your XML sitemap gets updated more often, and keep strong internal linking in place, also check that the pages are crawlable, not blocked, not stuck in some weird state. If it still happens, then take a look at crawl or indexing errors inside Google Search Console, because those clues are usually there, even when everything looks fine.

You're definitely not the only one seeing this. Indexing has been much slower for many sites over the past year, especially for newer content and smaller websites.

A few things I'd check:

  • Make sure the pages are included in your XML sitemap.
  • Verify that Google is actually crawling the new URLs in Search Console.
  • Add internal links from already indexed pages.
  • Check whether the content is genuinely unique and valuable.
I've noticed that posts on sites with strong internal linking and regular crawl activity tend to get indexed much faster. Sometimes it can still take several days or even weeks, so I wouldn't panic unless it's becoming a consistent issue across the whole site.

Hi guys,

I am publishing new blog posts regularly, but indexing has become very slow lately. Some posts are not even showing in Google after several days. Earlier this was much faster.
Is this a common issue now or could something be wrong with my site setup?
Lots of webmasters are seeing this trend right now, so it’s pretty common. That said, you can still verify your sitemap status and robot settings in Google Search Console to rule out any misconfiguration on your end.

One common reason is weak internal linking. If Google does not discover the new page easily then it may longer to crawl and indexed it.

Yeah, this is happening with a lot of sites lately. Google indexing is not as quick as it used to be.

I would check Search Console first and see if Google is crawling the posts or showing any errors.

If everything looks fine, maybe just give it some time. Sometimes new posts take a few days to appear, especially on smaller sites.

for new websites, slow indexing is common, strengthen your internal linking, publish content regularly, and submit your sitemap to google search console. over time, this problem will be resolved.

It's pretty common, some posts take days or even weeks to get indexed, even on healthy sites.

Check that your pages are crawlable, included in your sitemap and internally linked. You can also request indexing in Google Search Console, but quality content and patience are still key.

I've noticed slower indexing as well If everything is configured correctly it may just be Googles crawl priorities but its still worth checking your internal linking and sitemap to rule out any technical issues.

Yes, a lot of people have been seeing slower indexing lately it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s something wrong with your site especially if everything else seems to be working fine

before changing anything, check which bucket it's in under GSC > Pages. "discovered - currently not indexed" and "crawled - currently not indexed" look similar but need opposite fixes. discovered = google found the url but hasn't crawled it yet = crawl budget/priority, so internal links from your stronger pages + a clean sitemap actually help. crawled = it read the page and chose not to index = that's a value call, and no amount of resubmitting or backlinks fixes a thin/duplicate page, you've got to make it worth indexing. so the GSC reason tells you whether it's a discovery problem or a quality problem - the fix is totally different.
