Hey, as the title asks: What registrars are the most lenient on DMCA/Copyright, especially for the adult industry?

From my experience, the best ones are lyra, namecheap, namesilo - what other registrars have you had experience with?

r01, nic ru, NameISP, and Trustname are great options I've used

Yeah, out of the ones I've tried, LuxHost has been pretty solid for this kind of stuff

Theyre way less annoying than most mainstream registrars, don't seem super triggerhappy, and overall feel more chill with adult /offshore setups. Namecheap and NameSilo are okay too, but LuxHost has been the smoothest for me so far

Worth flagging — registrar leniency is only half the picture, the TLD itself matters at least as much. Abuse complaints these days often bypass the registrar entirely and go straight to the registry operator, which has its own policies and can suspend a domain through any registrar regardless of how lenient that registrar is.

Verisign (.com / .net) is historically the most hands-off and basically needs a court order. Most new gTLDs (.site, .click, .online, .website, .casino, .bet etc.) have much more active abuse handling because of their ICANN obligations and trusted notifier programs. ccTLDs are all over the map — .ws and .to are traditionally lenient, .io has tightened considerably.

So before optimizing for registrar, look at which zone the domain sits in. Same registrar can be very forgiving for a .com and useless for a .site.
