How can I improve my rankings on Yahoo?

@Rankings Daily nailed the part most people are skipping. The bing algo really is stuck a few years behind google so the stuff you got punished for cleaning up probably still works fine there.

One thing nobody touched... check your crawl rate in Bing Webmaster Tools after the drop. I've seen cases where it wasnt a ranking thing at all, bing just slowed crawling and the older cached version was ranking worse. IndexNow helps but you still wanna confirm the pages are actually getting recrawled.

Also dont go too hard reversing your anchors back to exact match across the whole site. Hit a couple top pages, watch them for a week or two, then decide. Easy to overcorrect and create a new mess.

@StarDrift first thing I’d do is split the drop by country and landing page, because “Yahoo drop” can be two different things. If it’s US/CA then yeah, treat it like Bing and check Bing Webmaster Tools, IndexNow, crawl/index stats, schema, and whether your top pages got stale compared to newer competitors. If it’s Yahoo Japan or some weird browser/homepage traffic, that’s a different animal and you can waste days chasing the wrong algo.

Yahoo/Bing still seems more forgiving with exact-match titles, older authority links, and clean internal anchors than Google, but don’t blast anchors sitewide. Pick 5-10 pages that lost most traffic, refresh the content dates/sections, tighten title + H1 around the query, submit through IndexNow, then watch impressions before touching backlinks.
