Where most beginners go wrong with ClickBank?

the biggest issue is budget and traffic source mismatch. beginners try to run search ads on high gravity weight loss offers with a $50 budget and wonder why they got 10 clicks and zero sales. or they rely entirely on "free traffic" methods they saw on youtube that were patched years ago.

also about the low competition niches... sometimes they are low competition because the traffic doesn't buy. the big niches have competition because that's where the money is, you just need a better angle and some actual tracking setup.

Focus on traffic. Don't worry about website, niche selection, content. Traffic is the king when it comes to affiliate marketing not content.
This is the mistake most newbie do, not focusing on traffic.
Exactly

@Campaigns By Mike is right about the low competition trap... spent way too much time years ago trying to promote weird sub-niches because there was no competition, only to realize there was no money there either.

Honestly the biggest mistake is just copy pasting the exact swipes and landers the vendor gives you. If you are using the same exact angles as 1000 other newbies who watched the same youtube video, you are going to get crushed. You have to put some effort into creating a unique angle or a custom bridge page, even if it's just a simple quiz or a story lander. Otherwise you are just bidding up ad costs for nothing.
