Your Own Website with Chat Support or a Third-Party Messaging Service?

I never had success with the livechat on my site... instead, I funneled users through telegram and built a good community that way.

I am using whatsapp, so I put whatsapp link on my website and that is help to get any kind of leads there

Yes, that’s basically right: having your own site makes you look more legitimate, gives you control over branding and communication, and reduces dependence on third-party platforms where impersonation or account issues can hurt you. A basic setup is also cheap, since common domains usually cost about $10–$20 per year, many WordPress themes are free, and several live-chat plugins offer free plans.

I personally use ticket system
But I agree a chatbox feels more friendlier as a customer than tickets

I have an unnatural need for control so I'll always use my own website with chat support to minimise what is essentially key man risk.

(I only worry about the controllable variables.)

Anything that has the slightest chance of failing due to relying on a third party tool makes me anxious lol.

honestly @BassTrackerBoats is spot on about the imposter thing. i lost a decent client last year because some scammer made a fake telegram handle mimicking mine and messaged them first. but like @Killswitchs said, clients still want to use TG because it's fast and what they're used to.

what i started doing is keeping a simple site with a direct "click to chat" link that opens the real TG chat, with a big warning on the page telling them not to search my username manually. having your own domain is just basic hygiene at this point, even if you just use it as a safe gateway to redirect them.
