Honestly, I think a lot of the old-school black hat methods still work if they're done carefully. The problem isn't whether a tactic works—it's whether it can survive long enough to be profitable.

I've seen people still getting results with expired domains, redirects, and aggressive link building, but the margin for error is much smaller now. Google seems faster at identifying patterns than it was a few years ago.

For me, the biggest advantage comes from testing. What works in one niche can completely fail in another, so I try not to rely on anyone else's case studies without running my own experiments first.

what i think as a beginner, understanding the basics is more important than chasing temporary tactics because of varying SEO environment.
 
I agree that some old tactics can still produce short term results , but they also carry much higher risks today. according to my experience system have improved significantly, making it harder for aggressive strategies to last.
 
From what I've seen the real challenge isn't getting a temporary ranking boost it's keeping those rankings over time the sites that last usually focus on balancing growth with long term stability

I'd add that social signals are an underrated component in 2026. Even with all the algorithm changes, having real-looking social engagement on your content seems to help with indexing speed and initial ranking validation. I've been testing combining solid content with social signals from various platforms and the results have been noticeably better than content alone. Also agree with the point about expired domains - they're still effective but you need to check the backlink profile carefully. Domains with spammy histories can do more harm than good now.

Parasites still work. They always do. In fact, Google encourages people to use parasites like Reddit, medium, blogspot, etc. instead of websites.
 
No blackhat SEO method works reliably in 2026 most lead to penalties or deindexing over time. Long term success comes from high quality content, strong technical SEO and earning genuine backlinks.
