Is buying an eBay seller account worth it?

I have an IRL friend who has a nice 4 year old aged eBay account with a couple of sales/reviews and has promote feature without his ID or Bank attached anymore (I think he used to use PayPal for it or something back when that was a thing). Anyways I’m thinking of just buying it off him for like 100$ cash or something and gonna use it as a stealth. Aside from proxy and anti detect browser is there anything else I should do or is the account even worth buying?

Yeah, it could be worth it if the account hasn’t been abused. Just don’t connect it to anything that’s been banned. Take it slow and give it a few days before listing anything.
 
If the account has clean history and no limits, it could be worth it. Just make sure to fully separate your IP, browser, and payment details. Also, warm it up slowly with small listings at first. $100 isn’t bad if it’s in good standing.

Even if the account is 4 years old, eBay cares more about login behavior and transaction patterns than age. If everything changes suddenly location, device, payments, it can still get limited.
 
This is how it is usually done. Because sooner or later any gray area or blackhat tactics will lead to ban on both ebay and amazon. Therefore people buy accounts, it's normal. Personally, I would be interested also.
 
4 year age sounds nice on paper, but the real issue is ownership mismatch. If eBay asks for docs or bank/name verification later, you’re basically depending on your friend to help, and if he changes his mind you’re stuck with held funds. For $100 it’s not a massive loss, but I wouldn’t build anything serious on it... maybe only worth it if you’re prepared for it to die anytime. Long term, aging your own clean account is less headache imo.
 
There is risk involved in purchasing an eBay seller account; creating your own would probably be better.
