Yes that's a reality Many clients spend money on backlinks but see little improvement because the links come from low quality irrelevant or spammy websites

In my experience a few relevant and authoritative links often deliver better results than hundreds of low quality ones
 
Do buy or create low quality backlinks it will only hurt your site. These are like spam links. Google either ignore them or punishes the site with algo or manual penalty.

Ofc it is true that most people fail to see result becuz they concentrate on the number of link rather than the quality and relevance of the link.
 
Majority are making low quality & spam backlinks, which can result in a penalty from Google. A good niche relevant backlink can beat 100 of low quality backlinks by a huge margin. So it is better to do manual outreach to relevant blogs to acquire a backlink which can create referral traffic for your website.
 
Yes, Guest Posting can help, but links from low quality or irrelevant websites pass very low value and it will ignored by google. A few links from the trusted sites will works best now a days.

Yes many clients invest in backlinks as part of their SEO strategy specialy in competitive niches.

still holds true link building does not work when the goal is to increse quantity at the cost of quality. Irrelevant link are no substitute for a couple of gud niche related ones.

That means bad spend, you really need to check the quality of the backlinks first before purchase in bulk.

Ask for samples or find reviews first.

this is 100% reality. not every backlink works for every site. a lot of those generic links they buy are actually meant for casino or hard niches. for normal business niches, you strictly need clean, niche-relevant links, otherwise they are completely useless.

yeah happens more often than people think. buying links is easy, buying the right links is the hard part
 
I think that happens quite often Backlinks can help but links from irrelevant or low quality sites usually don't deliver the results people expect
 
definitely real, seen plenty of clients who spent thousands on links from spammy directories with zero ranking movement.
relevance and actual referring domain quality matter more than just raw backlink count at this point
