I don’t see Monero ever replacing Bitcoin. Monero may be better as private digital cash, but that same privacy makes it far harder for regulated exchanges, institutions, and governments to support. Major platforms have already delisted or restricted XMR in several markets, while Bitcoin has moved in the opposite direction and gained regulated exchange-traded products and broader institutional access.
Bitcoin’s real advantage is not superior technology - it is history, liquidity, brand recognition, and the fact that the market has already chosen it as crypto’s reserve asset. Monero can remain extremely valuable for people who actually need privacy, but that is a niche, not a replacement. Privacy is Monero’s greatest feature and, commercially, its biggest handicap.
