Hi,

I have been running Telegram Ads for a while, and one issue I keep facing is inconsistent campaign performance. Sometimes a campaign performs well for a few days, then suddenly conversions drop even though nothing has changed.
Has anyone else experienced this? How do you determine whether it's just temporary fluctuation or a sign that the campaign needs optimization?

love to hear your thoughts

If someone else bids higher than you for 1,000 impressions on the ad space you’re using, your priority will drop. Think of it as “the more you pay, the more you get.” If you increase your bid per 1,000 impressions, you may see an improvement.

Best,

Yes, I have seen this as well. In many cases, it's just normal telegram ads volatility rather than a real issue. I wait a few days before making changes because campaign performance can fluctuate quite a bit.

If CTR and traffic quality remain stable, the campaign often recovers on its own

Sometimes performance drops for a day or two and then comes back on its own. As a beginner, Iam still trying to figure out when it's just normal volatility and when it's actually time to make changes.

I’ve seen that happen quite a bit and I will advise not to react too quickly to a few bad days but to look at performance over a longer period before making changes.

Well, this is quite typical of Telegram Ad the performance always fluctuates because of fatigue of the audience and changes in traffic quali
If CTR and CPC are constant, but conversions decrease, it means funnel/offer fatigue, and if CTR decreases as well, then it’s about ad creative audience fatigu

yeah bidding competition is one thing but with telegram you also gotta look at channel fatigue. if you are targeting specific channels, the active users see your ad way too fast and CTR nose dives after 2-3 days. i usually watch the impressions vs CTR. if CTR drops but impressions stay high, its fatigue. if impressions drop, someone outbid you. easy way to test is just duplicate the creative with a slightly different hook or raise the bid by 0.10 to see if it kicks back in.

one thing nobody mentioned yet is time of day and day of week skew. telegram traffic isnt flat, if your campaign started on a weekend it might just look amazing because thats when your audience is online, then mon-tue hits and it craters. always compare same days vs same days, not day 3 vs day 5.

other thing i do is keep a simple log of impressions, ctr and cpa each morning. takes 2 min but after a couple weeks you can actually see your baseline. once you know the baseline a "drop" is obvious vs panic.

the channel fatigue point above is real though, especially on narrow targeting. if youre hitting the same 5-6 channels the pool burns out fast. i rotate creatives every 4 days or so before it even dips, kinda preempt it instead of reacting. cheaper than letting cpa blow up first imo

What I learned is that Telegram ads performance is not always stable, so regular testing and optimization are important.

Raw trafic still matters ,but without trust and authority it does not convert or sustain. people are more cautions now and tend to stick with sources the recognized or feel consistent value from.
