I have been spending a long time learning Quora and trying to understand what actually helps answers get more visibility.

As a beginner, I have observed that some writers with a large follower count seem to get engagement quickly, while other answers from lower accounts perform surprisingly well. This makes me confused about where I should focus my efforts.

Challenges I'm Facing
  • My Quora follower count is growing slowly.
  • Some of my answers receive views while other answers get almost no views at all.
  • I do not know whether I should spend time writing answers or trying to gain more followers.
I would really appreciate hearing from people who have built successful Quora accounts and i would like to ask
  • How important are followers when it comes to answer visibility?
  • What is the best way to gain followers naturally without focusing on follower-building tactics?
  • If you were starting an account on Quora what would you do first write a lot of answers or try to get more followers.

yeah , followers are helpful but they are not the most important factor for answer visibility on Quora. I have seen many answers from smaller accounts perform extremely well because they answered they answered right questions with valuable content.

for your questions:

followers can help generate early engagement but Quora also looks like at factors like answer quality ,relevance , reader engagement and the popularity of the question itself.

And for the best way to gain visibility , I would say focus on providing rather than actively trying to build followers.

if you staring a new account I would recommend focus on high quality answers regularly . building a library of strong content is usually more effective than worrying about followers numbers. Thats it.

My advice would be concentrate on answering relevant questions consistently and tracking perform better.

Try focus on writing helpful answers first, followers usually come naturally after that when people like your content.

Followers help a bit, but they're not the main factor Imo. Good answers can still go viral even from small accounts.

If you can genuinely help other people with your answers you are going to get a lot of engagement from other people as well as turn those people into followers. Existing followers are also important because they get to see your content first and if they reshare your content it has a higher chance to become viral.

truthfully, followers are only the initial push in the feed, but the real game on quora is high volume questions and reader watch time.don’t even think about the number of followers you have if you're just starting out. Identify popular questions in your niche that have low quality top answers, and post your best content as the answer. the views and followers will follow.
