Anyone Here Making Consistent Money With Forex Trading?

There are more mentorship programs than profitable traders in the forex market. If you think that you can be profitable, give it a try.
Yes, becasue "teaching how to trade" is profitable. Lots of diffrent income streams from it.

Firstly know that forex is not a get rich quickly idea, whatever you want to invest should be what you can afford to loss. In forex risk management is very important. And lastly always make use of your TP(take profit) and SL(stop loss). But for real I still prefer crypto more…

Crypto is definitely easier to make quick gains due to the high volatility. If you master market structure, you can trade both, but crypto gives you better setups on lower timeframes

i've met people who make consistent money in forex, but almost all of them approach it more like risk management than prediction.

what usually surprises newcomers is how much discipline matters compared to finding the perfect strategy. protecting capital tends to be more important than maximizing gains.

the profitable traders i've encountered generally think in probabilities over hundreds of trades rather than focusing on individual wins and losses.

the best thing to get my hands on is trading where most people make money without investing much time on trading and keep working on other things to make more income. I mean a decent return is good but along with working for some other things i felt is it best thing to do. I am trying to get away with all types of intraday trading as it is more risky and where most of the people make money i am looking to go with long term trading. It is the bestest approach and never going to affect my health.
On intraday we always keep wondering what prices has become and we stick to the watchlist and damage to our eyes

Recepy for a failure.

You are so funny :)

Yes, I've made money for years on it but it's not a huge amount. Something like 8-13% a year, basically index fund like returns but more volatility. The advantage is it's not correlated to the market, so when the market crashes 50% for whatever reason, the Forex account keeps sailing at 8-13%. You can do more but as the account size grows, it's stupid to take that much risk. 13% of 100k is 13k which is decent. No reason to risk the whole 100k trying to make that 20k a year.

I had a huge wipeout earlier because I broke my rules; then I automated the whole thing now. The strategy is based around exploiting multiple-lined-up news events/expectations that are spaced around a day or two apart.

Took me like 10 years to concoct a working strategy lol, and even then it's not like 'free' money, some months still lose, and it's slow as fuck.
The big lesson is technicals are useless, forget all the chart nonsense, it's all bullshit. Supply/demand/ICT/Candlesticks/demandzone/batman pattern...

The best way to trade is to build a programmatic model for the price of a pair based on things no one expects; Eg; Query the number of unemployed threads that pop up in a subreddit for a particular country, and when that shows a spike; correlate it with upcoming unemployment releases, if you find a leading indicator, buy on that.

I spent about a year messing with SMC and order blocks back in 2022. passed a couple prop firm challenges then blew the funded accounts anyway because of greed... the psychology side is no joke. @pourmeanother makes a solid point about alternative data, standard retail charts are mostly noise and you are trading against algorithms that see your stop loss anyway.

To answer your question about whether it is worth it in 2026, probably not if you want a reliable income stream. The learning curve is just too brutal and most of the guys "making money" in the scene are actually just earning fat commissions from broker affiliate programs. If you really want to try, spend at least 6 months on a demo first. But yeah, affiliate marketing or lead gen is way more forgiving than trying to trade liquidity sweeps.

I usually trade using bots. The profits aren't very high, but they tend to be consistent and steady. However, there are still times when I experience significant losses.

I used to trade Forex, but I often ended up losing money. As a result, I no longer have any interest in participating in that market.

from what i have seen the traders who stay profitable usually treat forex like a long term skill instead of a quick income source most successful people i have talked to spent months on demo accounts before risking real money and focused more on discipline and risk management than finding the perfect strategy

smc and liquidity sweeps are mostly just marketing terms repackaged to sell courses imo. it's the same old support and resistance but with cooler sounding names so gurus can pretend they have some secret algorithm.

to answer your question about whether it's worth it... probably not if you need steady cash flow to pay bills right now. the learning curve is massive and like @Fluxify said, the real money in the forex space is usually on the marketing side, like broker affiliate programs or running a signal group. if you actually want to trade, stick to a demo for at least 6 months to see if you even have the stomach for it. most people don't and just end up revenge trading after one bad loss.

psychology and risk/position management are must, but it's not the core idea. It's whether your method could make money statistically. from my experience, I can't make grasp of anything from the market could run stats over it, so my conclusion is it's statistically impossible unless you can find a stable way with some recurring conditions lead to stable result. I regret the time/energy I put into this forex thing.
