Hello

I used to think LinkedIn growth was all about posting consistently. I was posting regularly but the engagement was low and it was not bringing any real conversations then I started focusing more on sharing actual experiences, lessons learned and problems I faced instead of generic advice.

The difference was noticeable. More people started commenting and starting conversations.

Curious how others are using LinkedIn right now:

Are you getting better results from content posting, cold outreach, networking or paid ads?
What was actually working for you in 2026?

Content alone is too slow in 2026. The winning move right now is combining your raw experience posts with selective cold outreach. When someone engages with your insightful post, do not just reply in the comments slide into their DMs immediately with a hyper-personalized video or case study link. Paid ads on LinkedIn are way too expensive unless you are hunting enterprise clients, so leverage your content to warm up direct outbound sales instead.

Imo, personal experiences and real case studies seem to get much better engagement than generic tips. People connect more with content that feels authentic.

Yeah storytelling and sharing experiences is the way to go if you want to grow your LinkendIn account. For me actually helping people in my sector (pest control) and educating them works best.

Noticed the same. Generic tips rarely get much traction anymore. Posts based on real experiences, case studies and lessons learned seem to drive far more engagement. Commenting and networking consistently had also brought better results fro me than posting alone.

i believe that's how social media has always been. All big creators today like Khaby got big for sharing authentic content. The reason social media got big in the first place is its ability to share more authentic experiences compared to heavily edited and directed tv shows. You're on the right track, share more authentically to grow even bigger

In my experience, besides posting content, you also need to actively engage with others to attract attention and build relationships. Simply publishing posts is not enough.

One thing nobody mentioned here is timing and consistency of the engagement, not just the posts. I tried replying to comments within the first hour and it made a real difference in how far the post traveled. LinkedIn seems to push posts harder when there's early back and forth.

@Nikolaos the pest control angle is interesting... niche stuff actually does better imo because there's less people fighting for the same attention. Broad "marketing tips" posts get buried instantly now.

Cold outreach still works but only after they already know your name from your content. Going straight to DMs cold gets ignored or reported half the time these days.

You should build more connections to increase your content's reach and improve its chances of being seen by a wider audience.

If you have a little to none subscribers and activity, I would consider creating ppc ads for these posts

I’ll open up a bit here. On LinkedIn, views aren’t really coming in at all right now, and there’s practically no audience engagement. Posts are getting almost no views, discussions, or likes. Maybe it’s also worth trying to comment on and like other people’s posts on similar topics—that might help promote my content better

Thirty days is still a fairly short period on LinkedIn Consistency matters but the type of content and the conversations you create are just as important Sometimes small changes in topics or posting style can make a noticeable difference over time

I have found that replying to other people posts has been just as valuable as publishing my own. Regular interaction helped me build relationships and over time those connections led to more profile visits and conversations than posting alone.

Consistency matters but relevance and personal experience drive conversations more than volume alone. In 2026 I'm seeing best results from storytelling posts + targeted commenting then light cold outreach. Same here generic tips barely work now.

Cold outreach still works, but it depends on how personal it is. I get better responses when messages feel natural instead of sales focused.

For me consistency helped but engaging with other people consent made a bigger difference. Spending a little time leaving thoughtful comment each day brought more profile visits and conversations than posting alone, It feels like linkedin reward active participation but not just publishing content.

I have seen the same pattern ppl resonate more with actual experience rather than perfect advice. It is helpful to post something, but an actual discussion usually starts when someone shares their personal and practiical experiences. In my case I find networking and responding to other people posts equally important as making posts themselves.

In addition to posting regularly, you should focus on the quality of your content and how well it aligns with LinkedIn’s audience and platform.

Simply posting content won't automatically generate engagement. You should focus on growing your network and increasing your followers, while also putting more effort into creating high-quality posts.
