What made you start using Reddit?

Hey everyone,
I only started using Reddit regularly not too long ago, and I've found it quite different from other social media platforms.
What I like is that there are communities for almost every topic, but it definitely took me a little while to understand how everything works.
For those who've been using Reddit for a while, what made you stick with it?
Was there a particular community or feature that kept you coming back?
I'd love to hear your experiences.

hey everyone
nobody cares about this bs, we just use reddit for self promotion reasons, if tomorrow a better place to promote our aff links/landing pages emerges, I'm out of Reddit
 
Digg died.

Reddit is superior because it allows anyone to create a community vs. digg's channels were set in stone and conversations were an even bigger echochamber.
 
I just started using Reddit because it has the features that I needed, and it’s working well
 
I wasn't using Reddit six years ago, but compared to today, I find it much harder to use. Accounts are more likely to get suspended, and there are many more restrictions and automated moderation systems than before.
 
When I had trouble accessing a banking app and customer service couldn’t help, I remembered reading about similar experiences from real people on Reddit. Their advice helped me resolve the issue by following the steps that worked for others in the same situation.
 
reddit is a really insightful platform to take advice, u know i start to use it when i jump in marketing field to study user experience and customer thoughts
