I was actually searching for this topic on Google, and lo and behold here we are:
5am - 7am
Do morning stuff. This is the Absolutely Me (A.M.) Time. My second favourite part of the day. Meditation, journal, first excercise, read, that sort of thing. Wake up the brain with steady pressure on the accelerator. We're in GEAR ONE. During this time, I make sure I get outside to take a walk within an hour or so. I need to get that morning sunlight in the retina to get the dopamine going. I engage in a little people watching as well, as people race to catch buses, cabs and trains. Here, I'm getting ready to kick that sympathetic nervous system into second gear.
- There's an extra hour here to allow for whatever else that I'd need/like to do in the morning -
8am - 12pm
Begin the good work. This is the Deep Work Time. My favourite part of the day. Working on income streams A, B, and C. Focused. Second gear IS ON! From time to time, I'll move everything up an hour or two, so that this start time can begin earlier. The earlie
12pm - 1pm
Take a break for a dine. This is lunch time. Listen to a podcast, watch a show. Max and relax.
130pm - 4pm
This is Soap Opera Time. Named because my family watched Soap Operas, and this is the timing. Nothing at all to do with IM, or, anything really. Anyway, this period all depends on what's going on, personally, and/or IM wise. I don't have to be physically at home or at an actual computer to work with clients. As long as I make myself somewhat available, I can work. So, during Soap Opera time, I'll relax and be available for clients while watching TV, sports, or engaging in some other light leisure activity. Or, I'll do what I need to do outdoors, and depends on what THAT is, I'll either still be available for clients, or I'll do what I need to do and prepare for the Prime Time Zone.
5pm - 7pm
Dinner, then I give attention to income stream C again. I'll check in on streams A and B here, as well.
8pm - 10pm
This is the Prime Time Zone. It's all leisure here. If indoor, again, like above. Light leisure work in the background. Lower the lights, get that melatonin moving. If this is a particularly high energy day, this period turns into the "2nd wind" of deep work and it's a 14 hour day. In this case, the lights go back on, full strength, and melatonin will have the slow its roll.
10pm -
Here's where I look over how the day went and make my detailed schedule for tomorrow. If I had plans, then this would've been done at 7pm. My schedule is handwritten and colour coded because, well, ADHD said so, and that's the bottom line.
Saturdays are always deep work days.
Also, somehow, I'm able to maintain running games of online chess throughout all this.
In the summer time, during beach season, all bets are off.
The adjusted summer schedule is:
530am - 9am
Do the good work. Deep work time.
10am - 5pm
Beach
6pm -
Everything else.
