Should've joined a few years back, it was full of snowflakes. Now with sudden influx of new audience, the userbase got diluted a bit.

Most people don't find a reason to comment on regular posts. When it comes to controversial posts, they take sides and either support or oppose it. That's the reason ragebait posts get quick traction.

I think controversial topics get attention because they create interaction and encourage people to participate.
