yeah reddit's been doing this for a while now. new accounts or low karma ones get link posting blocked in comments, its an automod/spam filter thing not a sitewide ban. happens more in certain subs too depending on their rules. usually clears up once your account has some age and karma on it. also check if the specific sub has link restrictions in their automod, some just nuke any comment with a url regardless.

In my experience, reddit still allows links in comments, but many subreddits have become much stricter about them.
I think, it is usually not reddit itself but subreddit filters, account trust, or the domain being linked. I have seen comments appear normally and then get filtered as soon as a link is added.
One thing you can try is contributing without links first. Sometimes a natural brand mention or helpful comment gets through, and if the subreddit allows edits, adding the link later tends to work better than leading with the link from the start.

Your posts with links have triggered the automation system and it doesn't allow you to put links in your posts. Let your account rest without posting links and gain some good karma and this phenomenon will get cleared by itself.

yeah links still work, but reddit is way more picky now. If it's a fresh acc or you keep dropping same domain across subs, it gets shadow filtered pretty quick. Also some domains are basically poisoned, even aged accounts get comments hidden when using them.
Best test is post a normal comment, check from logged out/incognito, then edit in the link later and check again. If it disappears after edit, its either the domain or that sub's automod, not your account only. Shorteners make it worse btw, reddit hates those.

Some subreddits have strict rules about links in comments mainly from newer accounts maybe that is the reason.

Reddit has introduced updates, and now if your account doesn't meet the eligibility requirements, you won't be able to include links in your comments.

if your account is new or old with less karma points, then you will have issues posting links in any subreddit these days. if you keep trying to post it, your account will get banned.
even if you have enough karma points, sometimes you can't post links because of the individual rules of some subreddits. but surely it has become more strict these days.
