Hey everyone,
I want to drop a question here and get some insights from anyone who has experience pivoting channels or doing something similar.
I have a YouTube channel that is already monetized in the Spanish market. It currently has 5,000 subscribers and 20 videos published. However, I haven't uploaded anything for a month because the Spanish RPM in my niche is extremely low ($1.45), and it’s just not worth the effort.
I plan to reactivate it, but shifting the content 100% into English. The niche won't change drastically; it's simply a sub-niche targeting a similar audience but in the English-speaking market (aiming for Tier 1 countries like the US, UK, etc.) to chase a $5+ RPM.
My initial action plan is:
My main question: For anyone who has done something similar, did setting the old videos to "Unlisted" hurt your monetization status in any way? Also, how badly did this drastic language switch affect your initial algorithm distribution?
Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and advice on this. Thanks in advance!

- Set the 20 old Spanish videos to "Unlisted" (to avoid confusing the new audience and the algorithm, while keeping the internal watch hours and monetization active).
- Start uploading 100% English content.
