Worth starting a blog today?
Can people actually make a living from it?

If you need to ask do people make money from them, i suggest you wait a few months before you decide to do one. Put all your effort into research and understanding what YOU can bring to the table, in terms of creativity, and solutions, and where your skills lay. (that isn't "i can add 10k ai articles in the first week!") lol

Yes, people still make a full-time living, but the old model of writing generic 500-word articles and slapping AdSense on them is completely dead.

If you start a blog today, you have to treat it like a digital media business. That means picking hyper-specific niches, building an email list from day one, and monetizing through high-ticket affiliates or your own digital products. If you just want to write generic 'travel tips' or 'health advice', save your time

Definitely worth it with a proper set up you could be profitable in this venture.

Blogs definitely still make money, but the game is different now. Relying only on standard display ads or basic affiliate links won't cut it with all the AI search summaries. Build a tight niche, focus on gathering an email newsletter, and treat your blog as a landing page for direct digital products.

You can still make a living from blogging but I’d enter into it with realistic expectations find a niche you can write about consistently and give it time to grow. Many people give up too soon while those who are patient and keep putting out quality content are more likely to succeed.

I think it still is just not as an easy money thing anymore. People definitely make a living from blogging, but usually because they stick with it and build other things around it. If you enjoy writing, you can give it a shot.

It's never too late, only gets late when ones life stops.

I think depends on your niche. but yeah compitition is very high in every popular niche.

Yeah, it’s still worth starting a blog.

Google didn’t actually kill blogs, it just stopped ranking commodity content. So if you’re thinking generic AI content or random topics, that won’t work.

But if you really want to build a blog with useful stuff, it still works. Just slower than people expect.

definitely harder now with google killing small sites but it's not dead. you just can't rely on pure seo anymore. monetize with affiliate links or digital products and build a brand around it. if you just want quick adsense money it's probably not worth the grind

Honestly the niche thing gets repeated alot in here but nobody mentions how brutal the first 6-8 months feel when nothing moves. Started one in a boring B2B niche couple years back, traffic was flat forever then it just sorta clicked once i had enough content depth that google trusted the site.

Whether its "worth it" really comes down to if you can stomach doing it with zero feedback for a long time. Most people cant, thats the real filter, not seo or AI overviews or whatever. The email list advice @KeibertYMS mentioned is solid btw, wish i'd done that from day one instead of yr two.

I think its still worth it if you're willing to play the long game Building traffic takes time but blogs can still become solid assets with consistent effort

This is the currect answer. Provide value and value will be provided to you.

Yes, but Do solid research before starting about Niche and competitors.

An Influencer from my country got over 20K USD in one month , thats my motivation..and still "thinking" blogging is verry profitable while people focusing on make video..
