Is TikTok creativity or just repetition?

I think originality still works, but copying what already works is lower risk. most creators just add their own style to trending ideas.

I think it is a mix of both Most viral formats start with repetition because people copy what is already working but the creators who grow long term usually add their own angle style or personality The trend gets attention but originality is often what keeps viewers coming back for more

I think TikTok like copying more than originality. But the trick is not copy 100%, just add your own hook or style

Its very hard and expensive to generate quality original content that people like at scale. At the end influencers also after few months or years will look for effort ROI and they will think lets do what others are doing.

It's a place where you can share your ideas with others, and it offers certain benefits.

TikTok rewards whatever sustains interest, and wel-tested formulae generally sustain interest more effectively than novel ones.he perfect approach would be to leverage an existing trend but ut a unique spin on it rather than outright mimic i

TikTok is a mix of both, true creativity exists, but repetition is what often drives trends and reach.

Copying but making it with a unique twist like others said, and most of the big creators who do it correct usually move to other platforms, for example Youtube, so they will grow big on tiktok, ditch tiktok and go to mr money youtube

TikTok is a combination of many fields and trending videos that attract attention.

I think creativity is just really rare these days, its all about following trends and what not !

It is 90% structured repetition. The algorithm triggers on watch-time retention, not moral artistic points. If you want to print money from the Creativity Program, stop trying to invent a new genre. Take a viral 3 minute movie recap, rewrite the script with a hyper-aggressive question hook in the first 2->6s , and completely swap out the voiceover vibe.

TikTok rewards formats that people already enjoy, so trends naturally get repeated. But the creators who add a unique angle, personality, or better execution are usually the ones who stand out long term.

Most viral trends look like variations of the same idea. Does TikTok encourage originality, or is it just a cycle of copying what already works?
Tiktok is not so much about inventing something new as about how you present your concept. while many creators follow a similar structure, it is typically those that bring a different perspective or story or even personality to the table that stick in people minds.

If old content is remade and still well-received by many people, that's great.
