Why my reddit account keeps getting shadowbanned?

I am running into an issue where my Reddit account keeps getting shadowbanned.

Sometimes my posts go through but get no visibility and other times they don't show up in communities at all without any warning.

Not sure what was triggering it but could be posting behavior, account age or stricter filters on reddit lately.

Would be good to know if anyone else has faced the same and what usually causes it.

Yes, I have seen this happen before.

In most cases, it is not just one thing causing it. New accounts, posting too frequently, repeating similar content, dropping links too early, or participating in subreddits without enough account history can all trigger reddit's filters.

If your posts are getting no visibility but are not being removed, there is a good chance some kind of account-level restriction is involved.

My suggestion would be to slow down for a few days, focus on normal commenting, and avoid anything that looks promotional. In my experience, accounts that behave more like regular users tend to have fewer issues with reddit's filters over time.

I've been through something similar. In my case, it wasn't a true shadowban, but Reddit's filters were limiting visibility.

After I slowed down, mixed up the type of content I posted, and spent more time commenting instead of submitting posts, things gradually improved. Every subreddit also seems to have its own moderation rules, so what works in one community doesn't always work in another.

I have seen this happen even with older accounts.

Sometimes reddit does not seem to like a sudden change in behavior. If an account was mostly lurking and then suddenly starts posting a lot, joining new subreddits, or mentioning websites, visibility can drop pretty quickly.

Use fresh ip or mobile rotating proxy. Use anti-detect browser or clone reddit on JB iOS use crane for clone reddit app

I’ve run into something very similar before, and in my experience it’s usually not just one thing causing the shadowban it’s a mix of factors. New accounts, posting too frequently, repeating similar content, dropping links too early, or joining subreddits without enough account history can all trigger Reddit’s filters.

If your posts are getting through but have zero visibility (and aren’t being removed), there’s a good chance you’re dealing with an account-level restriction rather than a subreddit-specific block.

What worked for me:

• Slow down for a few days post less and comment more
• Focus on normal, non-promotional comments in a variety of subreddits
• Avoid anything that looks like marketing or spam
• Mix up the type of content you post instead of repeating the same format
• Act more like a regular user: upvote, join conversations, and build history naturally

It’s not an instant fix, but accounts that behave more like genuine users tend to have fewer issues with Reddit’s filters over time. Also, check whether the problem happens everywhere or only in certain communities some subreddits have stricter moderation settings that can limit visibility even without a true shadowban.

Thanks. I've been using Oxylabs residential/ISP proxies together with OctoBrowser. The strange part is that the same setup worked fine for me before, but now multiple accounts get suspended after their first comment. That's why I'm trying to figure out whether the issue is the accounts themselves or something Reddit has changed recently.
