Hi guys,

I am publishing new blog posts regularly, but indexing has become very slow lately. Some posts are not even showing in Google after several days. Earlier this was much faster.
Is this a common issue now or could something be wrong with my site setup?

For newer websites, slow indexing is fairly common. I've found that strong internal linking and consistent content publishing can help search engines discover new pages faster over time.

Same here A few months ago my posts were getting indexed within hours but now some take days I haven't changed anything on my site so I think Google is just being slower than before

For me best thing was adding internal links from my old indexed posts to new ones. after that google startd picking them up a bit fastr but still not instant.

it a very common issue, especially with new domains. the solution is to focus strictly on your niche and keep posting. once google trusts your domain, indexing gets way faster.

This usually is not about indexing speed, it’s more about crawl prioritization vs perceived value.

Google can discover pages in minutes, but indexing depends on whether the page is worth allocating index space right now compared to millions of other new URLs.

From what I have seen, slow indexing on new blog posts is often caused by a mix of below factors

Weak internal linking like new posts sitting in isolation instead of being part of a strong cluster
No existing topical authority on the domain yet
Similar or overlapping content across multiple posts, Google delays choosing a canonical winner
Low engagement signals on similar pages in that section of the site
Crawl budget being spent elsewhere on the site tags, archives, thin pages, parameters

One thing many people underestimate is that Google doesn’t just index pages, it indexes patterns of value across a site.

So if the site has a history of thin or repetitive content, new posts get queued longer, even if they are technically fine.

Indexing speed is often a reflection of internal importance, not just technical setup.

Yeah indexing has been slower for a lot of sites lately.
Check GSC coverage, sitemap, and strengthen internal linking + content quality.

check if it's just you or industrywide, a lot of people reporting slow indexing recently.
also check crawl stats in gsc, could be a crawl budget issue too

Google has been throttling crawl budgets lately, so this is pretty common. To force indexing, check your robots.txt file to ensure nothing is blocked, then push the URL manually via Google Search Console. Also, create an automated dynamic XML sitemap using a plugin like RankMath, and set up a basic API indexer script or use Instant Indexing to ping Google the exact second you hit publish.

Low trust and new sites can face slow indexing issue.

Building backlinks to increase the trust of the domain will help the site get more and frequent crawls from Google , results in better and faster index.

Also, if your blogposts are consistent and has quality, it will also increase crawl frequency and index.

Other than that, you can use index tools to get faster crawls and index.

I've noticed slower indexing too, especially on newer or lower-authority sites. In many cases it's not a technical issue but Google's crawl priorities changing. Strong internal links, updated sitemaps, and refreshing older posts have helped get pages discovered faster.

yes this is happen many times now. google indexing is slow sometimes and not all posts show quickly like before.

I think if your posts look too similar to other articlas already on the web, google may decide they are not worth to indexing so they do not indaxed.

If the site/blog is new this is normal. Wait 3-4 weeks and if it doesn't get indexed by then try to link your pages better so that Google's bots crawl through them easier.

Happens rather often to new sites, last time it took 2 weeks for my site to get indexed

I have noticed indexing has been slower on some sites too. If everything is set up correctly then it can simply be google crawl properties. Internal links from already indexed pages and regular content update often help new posts het discovered later.

Yeah, Google’s been pretty slow with indexing lately. Maybe just quickly check Search Console to make sure nothing’s off, but otherwise it usually fixes itself after a bit.

You are not the only one experiencing this. There are complaints lately about slow indexing. I think the issue is Google side. However, this kind of issues get resolved sooner but if you the problem persist, check your GSC to get what is wrong with your blog. Usually, you will get enough information to help

If your site is new..... so late indexing is common for new sites. Do strong internal linking to your old posts that are indexed and publish your content consistently, this will help search engine discover new pages.

I think it will be better results by improving site structure and internal links. that helps google to discover pages faster.
