Over the last year, Meta has been pushing advertisers toward more automation through Advantage+, AI-generated creatives, and broader audience targeting. Many campaign settings that used to require manual optimization are now handled by the algorithm.
From what I've seen, creative quality is becoming a bigger factor than audience targeting itself. A strong video hook, compelling offer, and diverse creative angles often outperform complex interest stacks and detailed audience segmentation.
It also seems that Meta's AI is getting better at finding the right users when enough conversion data is available. As a result, many advertisers are simplifying account structures and focusing more on creative testing.
My question is:
Do you think Meta Ads in 2026 is becoming a "creative-first" platform, or are there still targeting and campaign structure advantages that many advertisers are overlooking?
Would love to hear what strategies are working best for everyone this year.
