After kraken shutdown XMR, looking for alternatives
I tried changenow, they take 5-6% fees

Go for binance, they have least fees across all categories.

XMR is not listed on binance
thanks for the suggestion

You can give Bybit a try. This exchange lists XMR, and its fees are quite reasonable.

Don't risk with Changenow. There are many accusations against them for blocking funds.

Check those no-KYC alternative
b1exch.to (1%-3%)
splash.tf (1%)
cce.cash (1%-3%)

The percentages I mentioned are those that were 5-7 days ago when I last used them. Be sure to check before use
All of the above use their own liquidity pool, so they do not depend on a third party. Also, some have escrowed funds of a few thousand $, so maybe there is a little security in case something goes wrong.

Just use Trocador app (Google), it calculates the best rates for you with the most known API's.

After Kraken stopped supporting XMR, I started exploring other options and tried ChangeNOW. The service worked smoothly, but the overall exchange cost felt a bit high, so I'm still looking around to see what other alternatives are available.

You could try binance. It's the biggest exchange out there and it has relatively low fees.

what's the most reliable private swap service?

yeah ive heard of this but what provider inside this as theres tons.
Trocador is primarily an aggregator.

try:
b1exch.to
cce.cash
sageswap.io
Bonus, these services have a few thousand $ escrowed as a guarantee

honestly most cexs are purging xmr anyway so bybit isn't going to last long for this, plus they'll kyc you fast if they flag the tx. trocador is decent but you have to watch the provider ratings. i usually just use cake wallet's built-in swap or majesticbank when i need to move things quickly, usually cost around 1.5% to 2% if you don't trade during high volatility.

Just use over-the-counter (OTC) payment methods and the fees will be much lower.
