Do reddit links still help with indexing and SEO?

I seen a lot of people mention reddit when talking about indexing new pages. some claim that posting a URL on reddit gets it discovered faster by search engines. has anyone actually tested this and seen a noticeable difference.

I believe Google indexes pages based more on internal links, sitemaps and authority, not just Reddit shares.

I've heard this a lot too, but never properly tested it myself. What I do know is that Reddit pages get crawled pretty quickly, so it wouldn't surprise me if a link on an active thread helped with discovery. Curious if anyone here has compared indexing times with and without Reddit.

Yes, reddit helps but Google is capping indexing of slow loading sites. So, if your page loading speed is low, you'll have very few indexed articles regardless of content and backlinks. It's encouraging more people to promote directly on reddit instead of relying on it to index webpages.

Reddit can actually help with discovery but I wouldn’t rely on it as an indexing strategy alone. If you’re going to test it out compare similar pages with and without mentions on Reddit and watch how fast they get picked up. Results can vary a lot depending on the niche and the activity around the post.

In my experience, Reddit links are still very valuable for SEO. My blog's rankings have improved significantly thanks to Reddit posts and links that received strong engagement.
