Protip: Superb Addons WP plugin has 100% free forms, everything WPForms/Forminator etc offer premium, Superb Addons have for free.
it's a block for the wp editor though, so it doesnt work in Elementor I guess

This is actually a pretty underrated tip.

A lot of WP plugins start “free” and then lock basic features behind premium plans, especially form builders. If Superb Addons really gives most of those features for free, that’s a huge advantage for small projects and beginners.

I also like lightweight Gutenberg-based tools more lately instead of installing huge builders for simple things.

Has anyone here tested it on bigger websites yet? Curious how stable it is long term compared to WPForms.

Yeah Ninja forms etc charging $29 per feature, where they have 30+ in total is wild. Yes it works great

Free form features in Superb Addons look really helpful, especially for users working with the Gutenberg editor. It offers many premium style form features without extra cost. Since the plugin is mainly built for the WordPress block editor, compatibility with Elementor may be limited. Still, it seems like a solid option for Gutenberg based websites.
Yeah its super nice

That’s actually a useful find for people using the default WordPress block editor. A lot of form plugins lock basic features behind paid plans now, so having a lightweight free alternative is nice.

Good reminder that sometimes simpler Gutenberg-based setups can also improve performance compared to stacking heavy page builder plugins everywhere.
Agreed

That’s actually a solid find for Gutenberg users. Free form features are getting rare in WP plugins now.

That’s actually a solid tip for Gutenberg users. A lot of form plugins lock basic features behind paywalls now, so having free advanced options is refreshing. The only downside is exactly what you mentioned — Elementor users probably won’t get the same smooth workflow.
Agreed, it's nice

Feels like a breath of fresh air to see a tool that keeps things simple and doesn’t nickel-and-dime you. I’ve found Gutenberg-only plugins run way smoother on small sites, so the limitation can be a plus if someone is already living in the block editor. If someone ever needs a drag-and-drop vibe, WPForms Lite still covers the basics without getting heavy.

Worth trying out of curiosity, might as well. Good share.

Might as well consider converting my web pages from Elementor to standard Gutenberg

Yeah Gutenberg is nice, I'm not too big a fan of WPForms, it's so extremely expensive

Clearly, the use of gutenberg plugins may have been overlooked because of their convenience and efficiency. It would be impossible to speak about the legitimacy of using page builders along with the form builder plugins without mentioing their benefits related to seo.

I did a trial run with Superb Addons on one of my side projects and, for a freebie, it didn’t give me a headache like some others do. Swapping over from Elementor to straight-up Gutenberg has saved me a ton of loading time too. If anyone’s tinkering with basic contact forms in 2026, this might just free up some coffee breaks.

Agreed

For small lead gen sites this is actually enough, especially if you just need name/email/phone and dont wanna pay per addon. Only thing I’d check before using it on money pages is spam handling and where submissions are stored/exported, because free form plugins sometimes get annoying there. Pair it with SMTP plugin too, otherwise WP mail will make you think the form is broken when its just emails not landing.
