it's all about the creatives and ad copy.

Short videos/creatives tend to perform better than longer ones
In certain niches, it's better to use picture based creatives, tho.

Just test different creatives and you'll see if your CTR improves.

Videos are performing better
Creatively making differences in the video style is one sure way of increasing ctr

Since yesterday, I see that the gambling market has had many fluctuations, some advertisers are preparing for the return.

Definitely! Using hyper-targeted audiences, eye-catching creatives, and testing different CTAs has worked wonders for boosting CTR—also, don’t forget A/B testing for continuous optimization!

Yeah, using eye-catching creatives, clear CTAs, and narrowing down your audience can seriously boost CTR—happy to dive deeper into what’s working for me!

Honestly, narrowing down audiences is pretty risky advice in late 2025. Since the Andromeda update rolled out, manual targeting actually throttles the AI. I've seen campaigns tank because we tried to "outsmart" the algorithm with interest stacks instead of just going Broad.

The real lever right now isn't targeting, it's creative diversity. And I don't mean changing the background color on the same image 100 times—the algorithm sees right through that. You need conceptually different angles and visual hooks. We are using AI tools to generate mass variations, but the concepts have to be unique to find different pockets of users in a Broad audience.

Also, nobody talks about EMQ (Event Match Quality) enough. If your score is below 9, you're basically flying blind. Server-side tracking is non-negotiable now if you want the algo to actually learn who your buyers are.

Just my 2 cents, but I'd focus on EMQ and Creative velocity over narrowing audiences any day.

try using dynamic creatives to test different combinations of images, headlines, and texts automatically. Also, narrowing down your audience with interest targeting and lookalike audiences can get your ad in front of the right people. Don't forget to optimize for link clicks or conversions to tell Facebook’s algorithm what you're aiming for. Consistent testing + good visuals = way higher CTR!

Reels are generally more effective and heavily reliant on the first 5 seconds
Even with the same theme, a female character will be more appealing. Age and content targeting a specific age group are also important

To solve this problem, the lack of customer engagement in your ads stems from the content of your ads. Improve their quality, refresh your content, and use stronger advertising accounts, potentially increasing your spending to reach more potential customers.

In my opinion, the best way to improve CTR is to focus on ad content. If it meets customer needs, the click-through rate will be very high, and vice versa.

focus on ugc style videos that dont look like ads, also use "native" fonts like the ones in ig stories. white backgrounds for static images are crushing it lately too

Carousel ads for product showcases and collection ads for ecommerce typically pull higher CTRs than single-image.

Simple creatives with strong first seconds usually improve CTR a lot. I've also noticed cleaner ad copy and matching landing pages make a big differnce.

CTR usually goes up when the ad feels specific and hits the right audience.

For example:
  • Bad ad: “Grow your business faster” (not specific, sounds clickbait-y, doesn't say who's it for).
  • Better ad: “Still getting clicks from people who never buy? Fix it with [your solution]” (more specific, probably meant for ecom owners, gives a hint that you have the solution to this problem).
So it's just about being more specific about your audience, their problem, your product, and how the product solves the problem.

You can run some A/B tests to see what ad approach works in your case: pain point, mistake, comparison, result, objection. Then test the visuals. Carousels and videos tend to work better than static images, but not always. So experiment with formats as well.

For the audience, test Advantage+ audience vs. manually created audiences. Try different targeting filters, custom audiences, etc. You can also try targeting tools for more specific audiences (I use leadenforce for that). Compare different types of audiences and scale the better ones.

Also don’t chase CTR too much. It’s easy to write clickbait and get cheap clicks from the wrong people. I’d rather have lower CTR with better leads/sales than a high CTR but no $$$ coming through.

Try using short videos or images, and ensure the first 3–5 seconds deliver a strong impact.

I’ve seen CTR improve a lot just by testing different hooks in the first line and using more scroll-stopping creatives instead of changing targeting too often.

Short clips often perform better, but success is usually decided in the first few seconds. With the same idea, female characters tend to generate higher engagement. At the same time, the age of the target audience also greatly influences the final outcome.

I noticed CTR goes up when the hook in the first line or first image is very strong. If it doesn’t grab attention in 1–2 seconds, people just scroll.

Test different opening hooks instead of creating completely new ads. Changing just the first 2–3 seconds of a video or the first image often improves CTR more than changing the targeting.
