How old should a reddit account be before posting links safely? Still new to reddit marketing and do not want instant bans.
Trying to understand what looks natural there.

There’s no exact age, but most people wait a few weeks while building karma and normal activity first. Reddit cares more about behavior patterns than account age, so accounts that only post links quickly get flagged. Genuine comments and community participation make promotion look far more natural.
 
Usually, people say around 7-30 days is enough. But with Reddit, account age isn’t the only thing that matters, karma is important too. An account can be weeks old, but if it has almost no karma or activity, posting links still won’t really be safe. Reddit pays a lot of attention to account behavior. And honestly, you also need to be very careful with how you drop links. Anything that looks too promotional or self-advertising can easily get flagged by Reddit, and they’re pretty strict about that.
 
New accounts need to be aged 30 days with over 100 Karma before posting external links. Aim for 60 days for big communities.

Only browse and comment normally in the first two weeks, no posts or links.

Post mostly useful experiences and answers, keep 90% content valuable and 10% promotion.

Put your links in comments instead of posts, avoid mass posting to prevent bans.

To post links safely on Reddit without instant bans, your account should ideally be at least 30 days old and have 300 to 500 comment karma. Reddit's automated spam filters and community automods target the account's age and karma metrics rather than just the link itself.
 
I'm pretty sure it's the actual activity thatcounts more than account age. I would imagine a new account that's very active and contributes meaningfully could out rank an older account that's only spamming to earn money.
 
i would say aging is important before doing any kind of promotion on Reddit platform

The most trusted age is about 1 month but you should warm up your acc properly for that
 
It's a lot less about the account age and more about how the account has been used up to that point. Warmups, account habits, participations, etc.
Though in terms of account age, maybe 3 weeks to a month or so.
 
as a beginner i think that focusing on genuine participation first and promotion later is a long-term approach for Reddit.
 
There's no exact age. Just spend some time commenting, getting a bit of karma, and acting like a normal user first. Posting links too soon on a brand-new account is usually what causes problems.
 
There isn't a safe age that gurarantees you can post links. What matters more is building a normal account first. Spend some time commenting, joining discussions, and understanding each subreddits rules, when you do share a link, make sure it's genuinely relevant and not the only thing you post
 
In my personal experience, there is no exact account age that makes a reddit account safe for posting links.

What matters more is the account history. An account that is a few weeks old with normal activity, comments, and participation will usually look more natural than an old account that has done nothing and suddenly starts posting links.

I would focus on contributing to communities first and understanding subreddit rules. Account age helps, but genuine activity and a good posting history matter much more.

One thing I have seen work is mentioning a brand naturally in a relevant discussion first. Then, if the subreddit allows edits and the link genuinely adds value to the conversation, you can add it later instead of leading with a link from day one. The key is making sure the contribution stands on its own, even without the link.
