yeah the line between guest posts and niche edits is super blurry these days anyway. most of the guest posts you buy are just on bloated link farms that are basically glorified pbns.
for a new site, link velocity matters way less than your anchor text distribution. if you blast exact match anchors on niche edits right away you will get hit. i usually stick to brand and raw url anchors for the first few months. also if the page hosting the niche edit has zero organic traffic, its a waste of money no matter what the metrics say.
