My reddit account has high karma...but reach suddenly collapsed

Hey everyone,
I have spent months building account age, karma and a posting history across multiple subreddits. For a long time, posts would get decent visibility and engagement.
Posts are not being removed. No warnings, no bans but they appear normally on the subreddit. Impressions and engagement are way lower than before even when posting similar content in the same communities.
I have checked timing, formatting, titles and subreddit activity levels but the difference is still noticeable.
has anyone else experienced this?
Do you think reddit has become more aggressive with visibility filtering or is there another factor advanced users should be looking at?
Would be interested to hear from people who manage multiple accounts or posts regularly across different subreddits.

Its weird, we never had such issue. But probably you should stop posting for a while, and see if the reach comes back. Generally if your account is shadowbanned or some restriction has been placed then they will go away if you give the account rest for a while.

How many posts are you talking? Just 5 posts? Or are you saying 20-30 posts?

It could just be the amount of content on the sub you're in. If there's heavy volume, reddit limits how many posts can have ultimate reach . The exact formula (ex: 10 posts per 1000 users per 10 hours, etc) im not sure but it's true.

What did you do ?

High karma is a good foundation, but Reddit seems to reward recent user behavior and community interaction more than just account history. I have seen this happen with older/high-karma accounts too. Karma and account age definitely help, but they do not assure the same reach forever. what i believe is its better to test small changes with different posting times, titles, more discussion-focused content, and more genuine comments between posts.

Review if your content still matches what the community wants. Sometimes a small change in approach can improve reach.

i’d check whether your posts are getting fewer upvotes early, because that usually kills visibility fast even when the account looks healthy.

What @Neqoruicy said matters most here imo. Reddit weighs the first 30-60 mins after posting heavy. If you're not getting that early velocity, the post basically dies in new and never hits hot, doesnt matter how old the account is.

Another thing people forget... if you post from same accounts too consistently in the same subs, the vote weighting on those accounts can get quietly downranked. Not a shadowban, just less trust on the votes/posts. Reddit does trust scoring per account and it shifts based on recent activity.

Try spacing out more, actually comment and lurk between posts, and check if your posts are showing up in new when you view logged out from a clean browser. If they're buried in new from the start thats your answer.
