Hello everyone

I'm planning to rank a few websites in Thailand Malaysia and Vietnam

If anyone has experience with SEO in these countries I'd love to know what works best

Are local backlinks very important

What types of links and content are producing good results

If you have any useful advice or Good experience please share it

Local content and backlinks can make a big difference in those markets. Using the local language understanding search intent and building regional authority helps a lot
 
From my experience local relevance matters much more in Southeast Asian markets than many people expect Native language content local citations and links from trusted regional websites usually outperform generic international backlinks I'd focus on understanding local search intent first, then build authority around that Interested to hear what others are seeing in Thailand and Vietnam specifically
 
I think proper local research is very important for these markets understanding the audience their language and what they are searching for can be very helpful local backlinks can help but creating useful content and staying relevant should always be the main priority for seo
 
For Southeast Asian countries in general, local languages are important.
 
I usually recommend a mix of high quality authority links, niche relevant links, strong content. It worked well for us. Local links will work, but relying on them alone won't help much if you're working in a competitive niche.

Those markets can be quite different from Western SEO. Local language content, regional backlinks, and understanding user search behavior usually make a bigger difference than just applying the same strategy everywhere

Those markets can be quite different from western SEO. Local language content regional backlinks and understanding user search behavior usually make a bigger difference than just applying the same strategy everywhere......
