Can editing an old quora answer improve its ranking and visibilty

I have several older quora answers that used to receive a decent number of views, but their traffic has gradually declined over time. I have been wondering whether updating and improving those answers can help them regain visibility and attract more readers.

Has anyone here seen positive results after editing older answer? If so what types of changes made the biggest difference.

The changes that helped the most were adding updated information, improving the structure , making the answer easier to read and including more relevant examples.I also removed outdated points and expand sections that were too short.

I have seen positive results from updating older quora answers. In some cases, answers that had slowed down started getting more views again after I refreshed them.

If the answer is genuinely outdated, updating it overtime helps a lot. Its like almost updating the old blog posts. If not quora but surely google notices these signals and will reward you overtime with traffic.

It's worth doing but takes a week or two to kick in. what work for me is adding new data or examples and cleaning up the intro to make it punchier helps. if the first few lines don't grab attention, people scroll past.
