What do you do when a barber completely messes up your haircut?

Do you tell them right away?

Ask them to fix it?

Leave a bad review?

Or do you just stare at yourself in the mirror, say "looks good, thanks," and spend the next two weeks wearing a hat?

I'm curious how people actually handle this situation.

I say "Looks good, thanks" and spend the next few weeks wearing a hat

I dont care much until I want to go on special occasion and tell him already to be very careful with what style I want.
If he cut the hair usually I go , I will say I don't like it. Keep it simple hair cut.
Last time I go to my barber and there is a newcomer up cutting the hair.
He is keeping and holding the bag on his shoulder with long stripes getting bag near to his side stomach. I asked him dont you feel uncomortable while cutting the hair and taking the scissor or other item from bag still cutting the hair and holding the bag. Keep it aside. Boom he said he knows his stuff, dont tell me, holding the bag and cutting hairs is like to be a professional. I was about to laugh very hard
That's difference between a Desi guy and a new comer

I mean, if you're unhappy with the cut you should always mention it so they can attempt to fix it. Ofc sometimes with a bad cut there's really no way to fix it then and there. You might have to wait a few weeks for it to grow out enough and then come back (my stylists have always done this appointment for free). But if you say nothing, you'll probably get the same next time if you use the same person.

Tbh most people probably go with the classic “looks good, thanks” and then silently regret everything on the way home Though if it’s really bad, I think saying something politely right away is better than suffering in a hat for 2 weeks.

When your hair naturally decides to do shit like this you won't give too many fucks about a dodgy haircut now and again. I'm just thankful I have any hair at my age tbh

Back when I gave a shit, if I got a bad hair cut I would say "Ah, sorry mate, I didn't really want to walk out of here as the human embodiment of pussy repellent. Do you mind taking another stab at it and keeping your eyes open this time" - or something a little more diplomatic than that.

I'm not going to lie here the looks goog and hat combo is the most classic thing ever, but just so that you know: once they've messed up beyond recognition, don't give them a chance to try and make it better, or they will give you a crew cut.

Pay them, leave quietly, and then head to some well-reviewed barber for a good fade next week

One of the sayings that I live by is "If it works, don't fix it"

Having the same barber and same haircut for (many) Years.

That's one way to assure such haircut issues won't come up.

I am 100% in the "looks good, thanks" club. It's interesting seeing the chaos that is about to happen in the main mirror. But the moment they flip you around and show you the hand mirror, your survival instincts kick in. You give a deep nod and say "perfect," hand them a good tip, and get out.

You get in your car to avoid looking in the rearview mirror because your baseball cap phase for the month is about to start. It is a scary to confront the person that is holding scissors to your ears. So, you just accept your fate for the next couple of months.

I'd think about going completely bald to fix it, but the problem is i look even worse with a shaved head. So, I'd quietly walk back home, avoid mirrors for a while until i got my old look.
