Hi,
I am working on LinkedIn and I observe that some people focus on personal branding, others publish educational content, and some rely heavily on networking and engagement.
In your opinion, what actually makes someone stand out on LinkedIn today?
I am interested to listen from you that what strategies have worked best for you and what trends you are seeing lately.

From what I've seen, consistency and authenticity stand out more than any specific tactic.
The people growing fastest usually combine:
  • personal experiences/case studies
  • educational content
  • genuine engagement in comments
Pure motivational posts seem less effective now than sharing real results, lessons learned, and industry insights.

I think that's spot on. Whenever I see someone consistently sharing actual experiences, whether it's a win, mistake, or lesson learned, I am much more likely to pay attention. There is already so much generic advice on LinkedIn so people who share real insights from their own journey tend to stand out naturally.

posting daily content will stand you out as expert, but try to be unique in your content. and be consistent in your content.

Think people who really stand out on LinkedIn don’t stick to just one thing.they mix personal voice with useful insights and stay consistent. It’s less about posting style and more about being recognizable over time.

Consistency beats perfection. It helps me grow faster and stay consistent. I used to wait until everything was perfect before posting but now I just share what I learn daily.

Networking still helps but i noticed people with niche focused content grow better. Random posting does not work much now.

Well you can stand out by sharing valuable insights consistently, showing real expertise, and engaging genuinely with their audience.
Of course audience, it's very important I want to add one point here, if your posting daily and engaging on daily basis but your audience niche is different then it won't work, first of all only follow thos profiles who are posting same niche of content or questions.

True, a really big profile with data, photos, connections, etc. Super important when having a LinkedIn profile

You can include a few selfies in your posts; this will help ensure that your posts don’t come across as AI-generated at first glance
If I included selfies in my posts, I would get reported. Not everyone is an Italian Goddess like yourself

I agree. The biggest difference I've noticed is that people are getting much better at spotting generic content. A few years ago, motivational posts and broad business advice could do really well. Today, real experiences, actual results, and specific lessons seem to get far more engagement.

The people I see growing consistently aren't necessarily posting more. They're sharing insights that only they could share because they've actually lived through them. That kind of content is much harder to replicate and tends to build trust much faster.

Depends what you mean. Do you mean accounts trying to build connections and following, or accounts trying to get headhunted for jobs. Very different thing tbh

Having a legit profile set up, posting daily and running a standard service that is much less competitive.

honestly most of the "authentic" case studies you see on there are just highly polished bs or boosted by engagement pods anyway. if you want to actually stand out without spending hours writing essays, just post raw data or quick teardowns of what you are actually doing. people are getting tired of the generic corporate storytelling. just show a screenshot of a campaign or a workflow and explain it in simple terms... that usually gets way more actual leads than trying to look like a guru.

Useful content daily, not spam

Be genuine, have credibility and provide constant value to your connections.

treat it like any other platform, and make consistent posts, also if you are creative, mix in some humor that is relevant to your niche. I see some comedian blow up on the platform

What makes you shine isn't saying you're a sales expert or passionate about results, everyone does that, the difference lies in sharing how you think and how you solve real problems, people connect with what they feel, not what they read on a resume, if you only use LinkedIn to browse, you're wasting your time, those who stand out are the ones who comment on other people's posts with insightful ideas, not just a thanks for sharing.

Another key point is that authenticity is worth more than perfection, posts where you share a failure or an awkward moment that taught you something tend to get much more engagement than polished, empty texts, people connect with vulnerability and real stories, it also helps to have a clear opinion on topics in your industry, even if it's controversial, someone who says, this is garbage, and I'll explain why, will always generate more conversation than someone who hides behind generic phrases.
