How many plugins are you running on your wordpress blog?

Hii,
I added plugins to my wordpress blog over time and the lIst is getting longer than i expected. The site is still working fine but i am starting to wonder if too many plugins can hurt speed , seo or cause problems later on . How many plugins do you usually keep on a blog? Do you have a limit or just uninstall whatever you need?

Depends on site, but up to 10.
Have client's who has 40 + plugins, at first tried to optimized them everything, but now don't care, charge per hour if something messed up :)
 
12 to 24. If you are running multiple wordpress sites there is no escaping this. I don't even try now a days. What you need is fast loading hosting. That will do it.
 
I usually try to keep it around 15–20 plugins. more than that is okay, but I start checking if some are unnecessary or overlapping.

I don’t think there is a perfect number of plugins. I’ve seen sites run fine with 30+ plugins and others have problems with only 10. What matters most is plugin quality, updates, and how much server resources they use. I usually remove plugins that are inactive, outdated, or doing the same job as another plugin. Regular audits help keep the site fast, secure, and seo friendly.
 
Don’t focus solely on the number of plugins installed, instead, consider both your overall size (DOM Size) and how many times each DOM item nests (DOM Depth).

Most up-to-date modern SEO plugins will not slow down the backend of your site, but instead put large downloaded files (unminified scripts) along with inline css into your front-end HTML file thus reducing how quickly your Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) will render. If you have over three plugins that inject a script in your head, you are damaging both your crawling budget and the mobile user experience before the server has completed rendering!
 
I seen people run 30 to 40 plugins withpout issues, but only when they are lightweight and well maintined
 
I never run less than a hundred. It's important to be full packed in functionality, you never know when you are going to need it.
 
"Quality rather than quantity, mate." The total number is less important than *bloat*. One badly coded plugin can hurt your site speed and SEO more than 40 lightweight, well-optimized ones.

My personal rule of thumb is to try to keep it under **15 to 20**, but there is no hard limit. Just audit your list every few months and aggressively delete all the ones you don’t use actively, to avoid security vulnerabilities down the road.
 
Too many plugins can definitely slow down the WordPress sites or create conflicts, especially if they are poorly coded or overlapped in function.
 
i usually run around 10 to 30 plugins. there is no certain limit. more plugins can slow down your site, but if your hosting is fast, it won't be a problem at all.
 
I try to keep plugins minimal usually only what's necessary for SEO security and caching too many can add load time and maintenance issues so I regularly audit and remove unused ones..
 
for SEO the main concern is page speed so run a GTmetrix or PageSpeed test and see if any plugins are the culprit before worrying about the number itself.

Around 10. They don't hurt site speed and the websites are running smoothly.
 
My blog has around 25 plugins once and worked fine, but I removed few heavy ones that were slowing admin panel.
 
remove those unnecessary plugins like image size reducing one's. They used to lag my site a lot.
